PlanBase Scorecard Screenshots

PlanBase Scorecard is a process management and improvement system. Metrics measure process performance, functions group similar processes, and business units model which parts of an organization use which processes. Metrics may point out a need for improvement, and improvement actions, either preventive or corrective, can be added to metrics and processes and shared with Hoshin plans.

Business Unit Screen

This screen shows actual vs. target performance of all the metrics in one Business Unit at a time, broken down by function and process for the last 15 months. This is the primary navigation screen in the system. A rapid scan of this screen immediately shows what is on track and what needs attention.

Function View Screen

From any Business Unit screen, click on a function name to view the corresponding Function screen thereby hiding all the other functions in that business unit.

Process Review Screen

This screen provides a summary of metric performance over time, the current status of the process, and any actions being taken to improve this process. These actions can be corrective actions, preventive actions, or tactics associated with a strategy in the Hoshin plan.

The graphs on this screen show a rolling 15-month view that matches the other screens (with the last month unlabeled on the right-hand-side of the graph). The Improvement section at the bottom shows a rolling 12-month view including 6 months of history, the current month (shaded) and 5 months of future plans. You can also automatically pull a variance analysis and add a Pareto analysis.

Responsibilities Screen

This screen provides a summary of the items an individual is working on and is a navigational aid for accessing those items. Additional business units, functions, or processes may be shown in order to provide context for the strategies, tactics or metrics, processes, or functions that the individual owns. You can select a different user from the drop-down to view their responsibilities. For users of both PlanBase Hoshin and PlanBase Scorecard this screen shows all their responsibilities in both applications.

Metric Contributors Screen

This shows the Response Time metric across a parent business unit and its sub units in the structure. This screen is designed for root-cause analysis. It displays a metric in the currently selected business unit, and any instances of that same metric on immediate children of that business unit and can help identify common cause or special cause deviations.

Heat Map Screen

The Heat Map is a graphical representation of the current month's progress by metric vs. business unit. It can show all the metrics across a business unit, or function or just a subset. It shows how each business unit is performing across multiple metrics, which metrics are challenging the most business units, and can help identify common cause or special cause deviations. If any reviews for this period are missing they show up as ? as do Financial metrics who’s actuals have been hidden.
